This is one of those things we wish we didn't have to pass along: Southern Cal kicker Mario Danelo, who kicked two FGs in the Trojans' 32-18 Rose Bowl victory last Monday, was found dead Saturday about 120 down a rocky cliff near the San Pedro section of Los Angeles.
Danelo, son of former NFL kicker Joe Danelo, made 15 of 16 field goals this season and led USC in scoring with 89 points.
At this time, police do not suspect foul play but are still trying to determine what happened.
Our sincere thoughts go out to the Danelo family at this unimaginably painful time.

I hate how USC embarrassed M in the Rose Bowl, but this sucks as CFB fan. Condolences go out to the Danelos and USC fans all over.
