Wheelchair Tennis Player Suspended for Doping

Yes, you read that correctly: a wheelchair tennis player was suspended for one month after testing positive for a banned substance used to treat asthma. It's days like these I know how the writers on The Daily Show felt when they found out Vice President Dick Cheney had shot a man in the face.

In addition, if you read the article in the link above, the ruling comes just two days after another wheelchair player was suspended 3 1/2 months for testing positive for marijuana. Wow! You're probably thinking the same thing we're thinking: How long has Snoop Dogg been in a wheelchair?

I've always thought it was silly suspending athletes for amrijuana use. Sure, it's illegal most places--what about Dutch athletes, though?--but it's hardly performance enhancing.

"Dude, that shot just blew me away."

The tennis ball stuck in the spokes is awesome.

Robin Williams does a great bit about pot/athletes and 'doping' allegatoins. The conclusion he comes to, in his usual comedic manner: "Pot enhances many things, colors, sounds tastes, but one thing it definatley does not enhance is yoru performance. You're lucky if you can find your shoes if you're stoned. The only way pot could enhance an athlete's performance is if there's a giant hershey bar at the end of the run..."

Thats not quite word for word...but its still funny.
